The purpose of this calculator is to show you how much money you actually make per hour. Most owners don't consider the extensive hours they work and what it all translates to on an hourly basis.
*This is what you would have to be paid per hour, working for someone else, to make the same money you make being self-employed. Well is it worth it? Is what you're making really worth all of the stress and pressure on you and your family? If the answer is no, drastic change may be in order. What have you got to lose but a poor paying job? Perhaps you should sell out and get a regular low pressure job?
When you consider what is "proper" compensation, you should note that your company must also produce a "proper" net profit of its own. Generally, most industry experts consider 10% to 15% net profit, before income taxes, to be desirable.
